Who should complete the Blended learning First Aid Responder (FAR) Course
This is an online and in-person course.
A blended learning First Aid Responder (FAR) course in Ireland, combining online theory and in-person practical training. It describes the course format, certification validity through PHECC, and options for group training at various locations for final day.
The course content is the same as the Full 3 day FAR course but presented in a different format for ease of attaining this certification especially designed for companies and individuals who struggle with a 3 day / 2 day release for work or commitments, this may be that opportunity to gain the certification when otherwise impossible due to time constraints.
Extensions beyond 60 days are allowed only for genuine emergencies. and with prior agreement only.
Recognition and Accreditation:
The course is nationally recognized by the Health and Safety Authority (HAS) and the Pre-Hospital Emergency Care Council, (PHECC) replacing the old occupational first aid course.
The blended learning format allows flexible study of theory, with practical sessions held at multiple locations across Ireland or at the candidate’s site for groups if that is required.

Skills and certification outcomes:
Upon completion, participants gain skills to manage life-threatening and non-life-threatening conditions until emergency services arrive, provide first aid in various settings, and demonstrate composure and competence. Certification is valid for two years, requiring recertification thereafter.

Course Duration?
This course is run over an 18-hour duration, which is broken down into 10 modules over 9 hrs and a full day (9hrs) in person, however the in-person section may be broke into tow half days to facilitate your needs.
Course costs €350, with an additional €30 fee in total €380 for the online portal section.
